Poo Poo Point - GWHWA
The name catches most people off guard. Yes, it’s called Poo Poo Point. No, it’s not named after excrement. The name actually comes from the sound of the old steam whistle trains! There’s actually two main trails to the summit, one starts from the High School Trail behind Issaquah High School, and the other has a designated parking lot and is called the Chirico Trailhead. We went with the latter, which is a grueling uphill climb that gains 1,760 feet in less than 2 miles. Short, but steep. I hosted this hike in February for GWHWA.
